Dear fellow readers, I have visited the Holden gallery and wanted to show the pieces that intrigued me and therefore analysed as they show some kind of connection to my work about space.

The first thing that interested me in the gallery were the rocks displayed in the middle of the hall. First thing I thought of was that they looked like foreign rocks from planets. These 3d objects caught my attention as I knew that there was a special characteristic about them even if I was wrong about them being from space.
The work, I believe belongs to Yelena Popova and the project is called 'The Scholar Stones Project. The rocks were, as a matter of fact, collected near Nuclear Power Reactors which is connected to the space theme. Nuclear Power Reactors generate the process of nuclear fusion which is the process that happens in the sun when there is so much heat and energy the hydrogen atoms fuse to become Helium and many heavier elements.
I discovered that the paintings on the walls around the centre piece which were the rocks are paintings produced with the soil taken around the Nuclear Power Reactors.

The other thing that caught my eye in the gallery were the two colourful woven pieces on the wall opposite me in the gallery. They are pieces, by Yelena, to represent the nuclear power reactors whether that be the interior design of the buildings or the exterior. The pieces include shapes that shape up and create the symbol of the nuclear power reactors. These pieces possibly contain the design of the plan of the nuclear power reactors as they share a similar design of site.
