Hello, again readers. What I will be talking about today is the work of Ian Simpson and how it inspired the models and designs I have created for my projects which include the 'momento, souvenir trophy' project, and the X10sion project.
Ian Simpson is an architect that is mostly based in Manchester whom I discovered when I was trying to figure who built the National Football Museum for the 'momento, souvenir and trophy' project.

I also found a specific area in the library interesting which came out to be built by him specifically. The place I am talking about is the library hall extension which had a complex yet unique roof that added something different to the library and the council hall.

After that, I decided I wanted to look further into the projects he built in and around Manchester to help get inspiration for the extension project. In further research, I discovered that most of the buildings, in the pictures below, are ones that I have seen when walking around Manchester. The tram stop is the one that I really liked and alongside the library extension, I decided to make a bus stop as a response in the extension project.

After looking at the buildings in Manchester built by Ian Simpson, I decided, as mentioned above, to focus on the tram stop and the library walk for my extension project and created the image below.
