Hello again readers. As the second part of my homage about architects that build space-like buildings, I have found an interesting architect going by the name Ma Yansong. I am going to look at the similarity and differences between Hadid's and Yansong's work to create something of my own that would honor and celebrate both of their work.

Ma Yansong is an architect that has a vision of creating organic, futuristic and technology advanced buildings and is on a mission to make that happen with the book of “Shanshui City”. His primary goal is "committed to developing futuristic, organic and technologically advanced designs that embody a contemporary interpretation of the Eastern affinity with nature" because Yansong believes that China has everything from mountains to rivers and plain land. Yansong also believes that with the speed China is working at, there tends to be some originality of Eastern culture that is fading away as Western culture is adapted on this land. Being an apprentice under Zaha Hadid has helped me understand why their buildings look similar yet different. Both adapt the futuristic style of buildings that consists of shapes that are not considered normal in society, but they differ in their visions and why they build and how they want their buildings to impact society. Ma Yansong's philosophy is to create “a balance between humanity, the city and the environment, in a vision of the city of the future based on the spiritual and emotional needs of its residents”. [1, 2]
I am interested in Ma Yansong’s designs as an architect and representative of MAD Architects as he has a vision which consists of a similar concept design to Zaha Hadid’s but is different somehow. He has a vision for the future to make buildings green, sustainable and modern with new forms of architecture. His designs show smooth curves and grayscale colours that adapt with the environment and meet with his vision of a future city.
