SUNKEN HOUSE STUDY
Discipline: Architecture
Project Type: Modern House
Project Location: Hackney, London
Client: Ed Reeve
Year: 2020
The Sunken House study is a project helping to understand a building assigned to each group. The Sunken House, in this case, is a building of unique essence around Hackney with its complete black interior. The building as the name suggests is sunken in comparison to the rest of the neighborhood's buildings. The building is made of three floors in which the second floor is the entrance to the house located on ground level with the other houses.

The study of the ground floor, shows the entrance of the building and some main rooms and the idea of how the interior is adapted being at ground level with routes that go up to the third floor or stairs leading down to the first floor.

RECOGNITIONS
Due to the unique use of the annotations on the model, the images were recognized by David Adjaye, the architect behind the house himself. Soon after, Ed's Shed (Ed Reeve's dedicated Instagram account for the house), the client, and owner of the Sunken House has also left a comment showing appreciation to the work done.
